Supporting Pack 1

After the Eaton Fire

The recent Eaton Fire has left a deep impact on our community, and our hearts go out to everyone who has suffered loss during this difficult time. Among those affected is Cub Scout Pack 1, which has been an integral part of our local community, fostering growth, resilience, and character in our children.

Saint Mark’s Church—a cherished gathering place and cornerstone of our Scouting activities—was destroyed.

Many of our Scouting families have also been directly impacted and are facing challenges as they work to recover. While the road ahead may be uncertain, one thing remains clear - Scouting is a powerful movement of support, unity, and strength, and Pack 1 is steadfast in its commitment to serving our families and our community.

Scouting Through Adversity

Since its founding, Cub Scout Pack 1 has instilled values of leadership, kindness, and service in our youth. In moments like this, these principles guide us to take action, come together, and support one another.

The Scouting community is more than just a group of individuals—it’s a family, and families stand together through adversity.

Identifying Needs and Planning for Support

Pack 1 is currently assessing the needs of our Scouting families and determining how we can best assist them during this time. From replacing lost uniforms and supplies to offering emotional support and connection, we are committed to ensuring that our Scouts and their families have the resources they need to move forward.

We will share more information about how you can support Pack 1 and the families impacted by this fire. Whether through donations, volunteer efforts, or simply spreading the word, every contribution will help us rebuild and continue our mission of nurturing the next generation of leaders.

A Commitment to Service

Even in the face of loss, Pack 1’s dedication to Scouting and community service remains unwavering. We believe in the power of coming together to rebuild what was lost and strengthen the bonds that unite us as a community.

Scouting teaches us that challenges are opportunities to grow, and with your support, we are confident that Pack 1 will emerge from this stronger and more resilient than ever.

How You Can Help

If you wish to help Pack 1 during this time, please keep an eye out for updates on specific needs and ways to contribute. In the meantime, your thoughts, prayers, and encouragement mean the world to our Scouts and their families as they navigate this challenging period.

Together, We Are Stronger

The Eaton Fire has tested our community, but it has also reminded us of the power of unity, compassion, and service. Pack 1 is deeply grateful for the outpouring of support we have already received and for the unwavering spirit of Scouting that continues to shine through.

Thank you for standing with us as we work to rebuild and continue making a positive difference in the lives of our children and our community. Together, we will overcome this challenge and move forward with renewed strength and purpose.
